Alex Easton MLA has reacted with delight at the news that Council are to erect fencing at the Conlig Play Park to protect resident’s property.

Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:

“I am delighted that the Council have chosen to support Councillor Wesley Irvine’s Notice of Motion to erect fencing at the rear and sides of the Conlig Play Park after I had asked for Councillor Irvine to submit the Notice of Motion. I am pleased that the Council recognise that the Play Park was being used by youths to terrorise the residents by throwing stones and climbing into people’s properties and making the lives of the resident’s hell. Anti-social behaviour is the scourge of our society and we must do all we can to stop it. I also believe that the Conlig Play Park needs to be closed early at night so that we can afford some peace and quiet to the residents of Conlig.”
