Alex Easton MLA is deeply disappointed to hear about the closure of the Danske Bank in Holywood. He intends to write to the Management at Danske Banks headquarters in Northern Ireland to ask them to reconsider their decision.

Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said.

“I received an email from the Danske Bank Headquarters today to explain their decision to close their branch in Holywood, and merge it with Donegall Square West branch in Belfast city centre. The only good news is that there will be no job loses which is to be welcomed.”

“I however do not except the excuse from the bank for the closure, which states that Consumer behaviour in an increasingly digital world is changing the face of traditional banking. It is my belief that this is an attempt by the bank to save costs, and that there is no consideration for the customers and local businesses that transact business in the Holywood Branch on a daily basis. I am very disappointed by this decision, and intend to write to the Management of Danske Bank to ask them to reconsider their decision.”
