ALEX EASTON MLA FEARS BALLOO WETLANDS WILL BE CLOSED FOR SOMETIME.

Alex Easton MLA has expressed fears that the Balloo wetlands path will be closed for some period of time.

Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:

“I am disappointed that Balloo wetlands path has had to be closed due to part of the wooden walk way structure having collapsed. The area is owned by the Council and managed by Ulster Wildlife. I have been concerned for a number of years that the wooden walkways were not being preserved over the years so that the structure would not rot. Unfortunately this is the case and it will probably be a long period before the Council can either repair the structure to make it safe or come up with new proposals. I would urge the Council to take the necessary action as soon as possible so the path can be reopened to the public as soon as possible.”

Alex Easton MLA has branded those involved as nothing more than thugs, for the assault of a man in his Lismore Avenue home by masked men carrying hammers.

Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:

“Alex Easton MLA has described those responsible for forcing their way into a man’s home on Saturday night and assaulting the tenant of the property as thugs. The incident happened at Lismore Avenue, Bangor. This type of incident is a concern for the whole community and is not wanted in by the residents of Whitehill/Lisnabreen. I condemn this incident and would call for anyone with information to come forward to the PSNI so those thugs can be arrested before they seriously hurt someone, nobody has the right to take the law into their own hands.”

This is an obvious wrong that needs to be put right.

I confirm my support and the support of my party to fully support The Service Animals (Offences) Bill 2018, known as ‘Finn’s Law’ which was proposed by Sir Oliver Heald MP, and which is currently proceeding through Westminste...
