Alex Easton MLA had welcomed new entrance to the Kilcooley shops.

Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:

“This is a welcome development for the shop at Kilcooley. I had been approached by the shop tenant who had been concerned at a spate of robberies at the shops and felt that the current entrance was too dark at night and lacked a good view for residents to see and report anything suspicious.”

“The idea of the new entrance was for it to be placed at the car park to give residents a better view of the shop and to have much better lighting and give better protection to the shop and discourage any potential robbery’s or break-ins. I am delighted that the Housing Executive have done the work for a new entrance and having spoken to the tenant of the shop who is also delighted also, let’s hope there are no further robbery’s and that this important local business is allowed to serve the local community in peace!”
