Alex Easton MLA has welcomed the ruling by the courts that the SE Trust acted illegally over the closure of the Bangor GP Ward.
Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said;
“This is a damming indictment of senior management of the SE Trust over their handling of the closure of the Bangor GP Ward. The fact that there was no consultation exposes a serious flaw within the senior ranks of the SE Trust who don’t seem to known what they are doing.”
“It has always been my opinion that the Bangor GP Ward should never have closed and this has been born out with trolley waits and the pressures that staff have to endure by this crazy decision. The buck for this action stops with the CE of the SE Trust and I believe it is time for him to consider his position over this whole sorry saga. It is time to listen to the needs of staff and the community who should be the priority, and it is their needs that are important.”
