Alex Easton MLA has praised the actions of a Council worker who found £10,000 while working at the Councils Civic Amenity Site.
Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:
“I feel that it is important that we praise the Council employee who not only found £10,000 at our Council Amenity site but also handed the money in to the Council once he found it.” This action demonstrates the hard work being done at the site by the workers to have found the money due to his diligence, but shows how honest enough he was to hand it over to the Council, I believe this staff member should be nominated for an award for his honesty!”
“This money should be handed over to the PSNI to investigate were it came from, and if anyone has lost such a large amount they should contact the Council or PSNI to reclaim it.”
