Alex Easton MLA was delighted with the news that Whitehill and Lisnabreen are to get a refurbished playground by Council after his last ever Notice of Motion at Council.

Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:

β€œIT is great news that as a result of my last ever Notice of Motion at Council for a new playground for Whitehill and Lisnabreen has been agreed with Whitehill and Lisnabreen being included in a Councils refurbishment programme. As residents are only too aware the playground at the Community centre was old and no longer fit for purpose.”

β€œI would like to say a big thank you to both the Whitehill Community Association and other community reps from the area for helping me push this projects which we could not have achieved without working together. The next issue is to try and see when the refurbishment can take place and I will be meeting with Council to try and get this done sooner rather than the 2016-2017 timeline that is being suggested. The residents of Whitehill and Lisnabreen have waited for to long for this and I am very keen to get a move on!”
