Alex Easton MLA has expressed deep concern at a collapsed wall at the pensioner’s bungalows at Skipperstone.

Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:

“This was brought to my attention by residents, who are concerned that a wall has collapsed in at the pensioner’s bungalows in Skipperstone. This collapse poses a very serious issue that needs to be looked into and answered, how did this wall collapse what was the cause, is there problems of safety with other walls in the area this is something we need to find out. I plan to write to the Council Environmental Health to ask them to go out and look at the collapse and see if any other walls in the area may be need attention. There is nothing more important than the safety of residents and I will be contacting the housing group that own the bungalows to also do a safety check of their walls and to also either remove the collapsed wall or build a new one.”
