Alex Easton MLA is delighted to hear the news that TNI are to start works to improve traffic safety for residents coming out of Bailie Terrace at the Cotton onto the A48 Donaghadee to Newtownards Road from 2016/17.

Speaking today Alex Easton MLA

“This is very welcomed news for me and indeed the residents living at the Cotton. For many years the resident of the Cotton have been expressing deep concern about the safety at this junction, when trying to drive their cars out of Bailies Terrace onto the A48 Donaghadee to Newtownards Road. I have been approached many times about the issue, and have written many letters to TNI and while I was aware there were plans to do something, it is great news to finally get a date for the work to start during the 2016/17 financial year. This will bring much needed relief to the residents of the Cotton and will improve driver safety at this awkward junction.”
