Alex Easton MLA has reacted with delight at the news from an email from TNI that has confirmed that two major sections of Beechfield Drive in Donaghadee are to be resurfaced this year.
Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:
“This is fantastic news for the residents of Bechfield Drive, Donaghadee who have had to endure a substandard road for years with patches and pot holes which have made the area look very poor. The residents of Beechfield have lobbied and done a campaign of letter writing over the years to try and have the road resurfaced. I am delighted that my constant lobbying with my colleague Alderman Bill Keary for Beechfield Drive to be resurfaced for the residents has finally paid off. I understand from further discussions with Transport NI the work will be done this financial year. I look forward to seeing the work being started and for the finished article being completed.”
