Alex Easton MLA declares the Electoral offices ID event in Holywood Library as a great success with 73 people being registered to vote, and getting photographic ID.

Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:

“I would firstly like to thank both the Electoral office and especially Jeanette Murray the Chief Electoral officer for the area for agreeing to hold the Electoral ID event, but to also thank Holywood Library and especially the Recon Community Group and Albert Martin for helping to bring this to Holywood and to give people the chance to register to vote and get photographic ID. Bringing these events to our community not only encourages people to vote it also helps them, by being on the register to apply for mortgages, loans and indeed give then the opportunity to get out there and make a difference in who represents them. A total of 73 people registered and got their photographic ID which is a great response for the first time such an event has been held in Holywood.”
