Alex Easton MLA and Councillor Wesley Irvine have both expressed concerns at the Housing executives maintenance in Bloomfield estate after a walkabout discovered large concrete blocks falling onto path.

Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:

“After a recent walkabout in Bloomfield Estate I and my colleague Councillor Irvine came across large blocks which have collapsed from an embankment onto a public footpath used by children going to the playground. These large concrete blocks are not dangerous because they have collapsed they are also causing an obstruction on the path and are dangerous to all the residents using the path in Bloomfield Estate.”

“I would urge the Housing Executive to do more inspections of Bloomfield estate to identify these issues much sooner so that the dangerous situation can be resolved much quicker and prevent any potential accidents; the mater has now been passed to the Housing executive for repairs.”
