Alex Easton MLA has today called for action to be taken after evidence of drug use at and damage being done at Portavoe Reservoir.

Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:

“I have been approached by concerned members of the public who have reported to me and the PSNI about damaged being done to trees and evidence that Portavoe is being used to take drugs. Anyone who knows Portavoe will know that this is one of North Downs most beautiful sights, and is a treasure for people to walk and enjoy the beauty of the area. To have it being vandalized and for it to be used for the taking of illegal drugs is totally unacceptable. I have sent correspondence and pictures of what has been going on to the PSNI and am today calling on them to take action to protect the area but to also have a zero tolerance stance on those who would take and sell illegal drugs”
