Alex Easton MLA has today called on NDBC to allow a Christmas Eve market to take place on Wednesday the 24th December.

 

Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:

“It has come to my attention that the NDBC may not allow a Christmas Eve Market. The Market is always on a Wednesday morning, and I believe that the residents of the Borough should be allowed the opportunity to make last minutes shopping as per usual at the normal Wednesday market, and there should be no distinction between any Wednesday just because it is a Christmas Eve. It is also the case that the Marker Traders should be allowed to have their stalls as they have the right to make a living no matter what Wednesday it is. I am today calling on NDBC to allow the Wednesday Market to go ahead as per normal, even though it is a Christmas Eve and let the residents choice whether they go to shop at the Market or not.” Ends:
