Alex Easton MLA has today called on the Council to ensure that repairs are carried out at Bangor Marina.

Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:

“The state of this wall which has fallen into the sea has been like this for some time, I have been surprised that the situation has not been allowed to go on for some time as I believe that this potentially could have become a health and safety risk. As everyone knows the sea could undermine the walkways and we could have the potential if left for too long that a walkway to become dangerous. There is the fact this is highly visible in an area at the Pickie Fun park which is widely used by tourists and the residents of Bangor and it really is an eyesore, it is incumbent on the Council to ensure we have a safe environment for our residents and visitors as well as ensuring the place looks well to attract more visitors. I have emailed the Council on the issue and hopefully action will be taken to fix the problem ASP.”
