Alex Easton MLA has today called for shelters to be built by North Down Borough Council to protect tourists and residents from the rain when visiting Pickie Fun Park.

Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:

“I have been approached by a local resident who pointed out that there are no shelters for people to protect them from the weather. Tourists or the local community who come down to use the excellent local facility’s at Pickie Fun Park or to us the fun fair at the Mckee Clock area during the Summer are left stranded if there is bad weather. I understand that years ago there were shelters at the McKee Clock but this has long vanished from the area. I am today calling for North Down Borough Council to look at the possibility of providing shelters for the area, in attempt to enhance and protect tourists from the Weather if needed.”
