Alex Easton MLA has today called on Council and TNI to allow free car parking at their entire car parking facility’s over the Christmas period.
Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:
“I think that we should be following the example of Belfast city council which has taken the step of having free Christmas parking for shoppers over the Christmas Period. I believe that this would provide a tremendous boost for local businesses and attract more people to shop in the town and it would also help to compete with the out of town shopping centres. I am today calling on both Transport NI and Ards and Northdown Council to take these steps as a matter of urgency and give the local businesses and residents an early Christmas present.”
