Alex Easton MLA has today called for a pedestrian crossing for the Killaughey Road, Donaghadee.

Speaking today Alex Easton MLA:

“It has become clearly apparent over the years that Northfield Road can’t cope with the level of traffic due to the narrow nature of the road and people going to Donaghadee Primary School. Parents are having to park and use the Killaughey Road to assess a side entrance to the school due to the traffic congestion in the area; it is just far too much for the road infrastructure to cope with during the mornings, afternoons and evening times. It is now high time that a pedestrian crossing is put in place for residents and parents with their children on the Killaughey Road at the schools side entrance to provide a safe crossing point before someone is injured. I am today calling on Transport NI to do a survey with the possibility of a Pedestrian crossing being provided.”
