Alex Easton MLA has reacted with delight at the news the road leading from Moat Street Donaghadee into Crommelin Park has now officially in the ownership of Ards and North Down Council.

Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:

This is fantastic news, to know that the Council have finally been granted ownership and officially agreed to take over the road entrance from Moat Street Donaghadee into Crommelin Park. I am delighted that after my meeting which I set up with Council officers and the former owner of the land that this has been taken forward. I understand that work will soon start on road entrance to be tarmacked as it is in such a bad sate of repairs and right around the rear of Crommelin Park, this is a fantastic result. I would thank the Council for this decision and also the Council officers and former land owner for agreeing to this process!

Speaking today Alderman Bill Kerry said:
