I would first like to congratulate Lady Hermon oh her victory, very well done and the best person won. I however take great heart from this result, not only has my own and the DUPs vote gone up considerably, it’s clearly shows that we are now within stepping stone of taking the North Down seat at the next Westminster Election. I would thank everyone who helped me canvass during the election and a huge thank you to all the people who came out and voted for me, I owe you all a great debt of gratitude and I humbly thank you all! I will continue to represent everyone no matter who they are to the best of my ability. This election serves as a further wake up call to defend our position within the Union and I would call for all shades of Unionism to work together and help work towards forming one Unionist party and for talks to start straight away, it is high time to put aside petty party issues and do what is right for Northern Ireland and its future within the Union.
