Alex Easton MLA has today got confirmation that the Council will build a Play Park in Linear Park within the next year.
Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:
“This is fantastic news after many years of lobbying for one for the Kilmaine & Ballymagee area, that the Council are now at the economic appraisal stage and will consult with residents as to the preferred location. This is essential and important that this takes places and the residents have their say. Any play park must be sighted in the correct location and must be enclosed in a fenced in area, and locked at night so not to be used for Anti-Social behaviour!”
“This is one of the main areas that have no provision for children’s play and I am delighted that the Council are now making the provision a reality, and have recognised that the Kilmaine and Ballymagee areas have lacked this type of provision for many years.”
